Tony Morales (Emmy® nominated for HATFIELD & MCCOYS) takes us on a musical journey through the magical, fairytale land of Avalor, composing the original score for the new Disney Channel series ELENA OF AVALOR, which features Disney’s first Latina princess.
Tony (who is of Mexican descent) said he “marries classic Disney music with the Latin sound,” for the original score, drawing inspiration from folkmusic of many Latin cultures. He works closely with the songwriting team of creator/executive producer Craig Gerber and songwriter/music director John Kavanaugh on utilizing music as one of the key storytelling drivers in the series.
This year has seen the release of the second season of Tony’s hit CBS TV show SCORPION (co-composed with Brian Tyler), the sports documentary FASTBALL (director Jonathan Hock, narrated by Kevin Costner), and his fourth season providing the music for the Discovery Channel’s ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER.
