MOVIESCORE MEDIA TO RELEASE ‘TEST’ SOUNDTRACK

Original Music By Ceiri Torjussen

(May 30, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA) – Moviescore Media will release TEST – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on June 3. 2014. The soundtrack features the original score composed by Welsh born composer Ceiri Torjussen (THE CANAL, BIG ASS SPIDER). TEST (winner of the 2013 Outfest, presented at the 2014 Berlinale) is a drama set during the 80s, and features a moodily ambient electronic score.

“When director Chris Johnson and I started discussing the music for TEST we concluded that since the film was set in 1985, it would be cool to create a score directly inspired by 80’s music,” said Torjussen. “Our ultimate goal was to make music that would fit the period and gel with the licensed 80s pop tracks, but also address the emotional turmoil that the characters were going through when confronted with the new and terrifying AIDS virus.” Continue reading “MOVIESCORE MEDIA TO RELEASE ‘TEST’ SOUNDTRACK”

KEVIN KLIESCH SCORES FIRST DAYTIME EMMY® NOMINATION FOR ‘SOFIA THE FIRST’

Primetime Special SOFIA THE FIRST: THE FLOATING PALACE Would Qualify for Primetime EMMY Consideration

(May 22, 2014– Los Angeles, CA) – Composer Kevin Kliesch (THUNDERCATS, SUPERMAN: UNBOUND) has earned his first EMMY® nomination for his work on the hit Disney Junior series SOFIA THE FIRST.

“Once I found out I had been nominated from the show’s creator, Craig Gerber, I immediately woke up my wife and told her the good news. We were both shaking with excitement!” said Kliesch. “It was such an honor to hear that the Academy thought my music for SOFIA THE FIRST was award-worthy.”

Though primarily a daytime show, airing 9:30AM on Fridays, a SOFIA THE FIRST primetime special, The Floating Palace aired last year. Which means, though improbable, Kliesch could potentially be recognized with a primetime EMMY nomination later this year for the same show – a highly unusual occurrence in the music categories.
