THE ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES PROMOTES SEMINAR ON FILM MUSIC


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced a three-week seminar on film music, to take place on September 20th, September 27th, and October 4th, at their Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood. The first night, moderated by Charles Bernstein, will focus on traditional scores, featuring panelists Jan A.P. Kaczmarek and Lalo Schifrin. The second night, on alternative scores, will be moderated by Bruce Broughton and feature panelists Mychael Danna, Mark Isham, and Rolfe Kent. The final night will focus on “The Music Team,” and panelists include composers George S. Clinton, Michael Giacchino and John Powell, as well as music editor Mike Flicker.
